The history of Antaris began over 25 years ago in 1989 under the name Adria. Under this name the first boats were built in a facility in the beautiful venue of Ossenzijl. The popularity of the boats rose quickly and the beauty and accessibility of the water meant the convertible boats were enormously attractive.
In 2002 the company was taken over and its success continued under the current brand Antaris. As a result of the aforementioned success the yard moved in 2005 to the heart of the boating; Woudsend, Friesland.
Outright successes with the Antaris 520, 570 and 630 created one of the largest builders of boats in the Netherlands. These models underwent several facelifts over the years in order to continue to meet the needs of customers. Derived from the popular lifeboat style, the Rainbow Series became successful. Introduced in 2007, the range included the RB18, RB22, RB24 and RB27. In 2009, the range of Antaris Connery tender boats was introduced to the range.
In 2008, a merger with Maril Boats from Koudum created the biggest boating company in the Netherlands; Aquatec Industries, incoroporating the brand Antaris, Maril and Makma.
2010 saw the three brands move to the new location of Antaris in Woudsend, Friesland. This unique location has a huge indoor port through which you can view the whole range of boats in the water. You are also invited to take a ship to the water for a trial run.
After the merge, in 2011 we decided to rationalise the product range as both Maril and Antaris enjoyed a comprehensive range of classically inspired boats at the time. With the introduction of the Antaris Sixty6, Fifty5 and Seventy7 we have a new, modern and stylish design. Comfortable boats with very good handling characteristics are why we have become a household name.
As indicated, innovation is highly valued at Aquatec and, therefore, we aim to launch new models to the market regularly. In recent years, the following models have been added to the fleet:
- 2009 Antaris Connery lijn
- 2012 Antaris Sixty6
- 2013 Antaris Fifty5
- 2015 Antaris Seventy7
In addition to the introduction of new models, we continue to build classic models in the range. Look in the footer at ‘classic models’. (only in Dutch)
